Everything about my experience here was fantastic. The sushi platter was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. I really appreciated the attention to detail, especially the Yamasa soy sauce bottles on the counter. It is rare to find a spot that hits the mark so consistently. I will definitely be coming back again soon.

I had such a wonderful dining experience here recently. The quality of the food really stands out, especially the sushi, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail, like having both regular and less salt soy sauce options available right at the table. Everything tasted great, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I will definitely be back soon.

I would have to say they have the freshest sushi and a 15 mile radius although the wait time for pick up and sitting in the restaurant is always long it is well worth the wait a friend of mine suggested this location to me a couple years back and it’s the only place I go to. From there, sushi down to their entrées. Everything has fantastic flavor and always cooked to perfection.

There aren't many genuine Japanese restaurants in Long Island, so I was pleasantly surprised. We had the Agedashi Tofu and the Sushi platter; everything was fresh and delicious. It was a pleasure watching Chef Yamamoto prepare our meal right in front of us. Even the water tasted crisp and clean, unlike typical tap water. Service was good. We arrived on Saturday around 5:00 PM (right at opening) and the place was already almost full. Be sure to arrive early so you don't have to wait. Definitely recommended!

Always a wonderful experience at Nagahama. The food is authentic and top quality, extremely fresh and well prepared. Beautiful sushi and sashimi selections, on par with what you’d find right in the heart of Japan. Definitely try the Toro (Bluefin tuna — a market price selection) and Unagi (salt water eel). Outstanding rolls, too. A large bottle of hot Sake complemented our meal nicely. We enjoyed that our server was wearing a kimono, a small touch that made the whole experience feel more authentic. Overall, this place is consistently serving up quality. I highly recommend!
